My Students

My students are learning in an urban, New York City public school. Our school strives to find the leader in all students. We try to instill personality characteristics to support the growth of their inner leader. Every child has different strengths and capabilities.

My Kindergartners all care about one another and continually make an effort to improve.

My 23 students are all unique. My students like to learn using all different kinds of methods. My kindergartners like hands-on learning, and benefit from it greatly.

My Project

My class needs books! These leveled books are great for my kindergartners who are beginning to learn how to read. We have lots of books that grown ups can read to the children. However, my students are so eager to be able to read independently. These readers will encourage my students to read because they have repetition of familiar words, fun topics and great pictures that will keep them interested.

These Just-Right Books would be great for my beginning readers.

It is great to see the excitement when a student feels so accomplished by reading a book on their own.
