My Students

My students are amazing kindergarten and first graders that are just itching to learn and do on their own! The only way to help them grow is to give them the necessary resources and nurturing.

My students attend a Pre-K through eighth grade school in New York City where the stakes are high but the resources are low.

These incredible, resilient, happy children are so eager to learn! They are working so hard to meet their standards, yet some of them are falling short and just need that little extra boost to help them along.

My Project

These Level D books will go a long away in the kindergarten and first grade classrooms. So many students are just beginning to learn to read, they need books like these that will not frustrate them. These books will allow these little ones to see that they too can read and that they should keep on reading and getting better. The look on a child's face when they accomplish something is priceless!!

Leveled Libraries in Classrooms are comprised of books from Levels A through Z.

Each classroom needs to have 5-10 levels available for students at varying stages of reading. Level D books in kindergarten will help the majority of children experiencing books and reading for the first time. In first grade classrooms, these books will assist struggling readers in meeting their grade standards.
