My Project

Growing hydroponically serves as a powerful educational tool in classrooms. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil in a nutrient-rich water solution. With these resources, my two classes of fourth grade scholars will be able to plant their own flowers or vegetables and watch it grow from start to finish.

Almost all of my students live in densely populated urban areas, where they've never been able to plant fruits, flowers, and vegetables.

I want to change that!

A hydroponic system allows students to observe, experiment, and actively participate in the growth of plants. My goal for this project is that my scholars will see the results of their work and this will instill pride, ownership, and responsibility in the classroom and life.
