My Project

School days can be very hectic. With the amount of materials and the pace needed to keep all lessons flowing, we need to find ways to decrease transition time loss. From a teacher's perspective, time management skills support academic growth. Students use these skills to complete assignments, focus in class, study, and stay organized. Being able to plan, organize, start tasks, manage time well, and persevere through challenges are all life skills we use every day.

This project will provide my students the opportunity to develop their executive functioning skills and increase production time.

There are several items that would improve both the organization and learning environment in my classroom.

A rolling cart for lunchboxes and water bottles would improve the process of accessing and storing lunchboxes and water bottles. This would minimize wasted time during the school day and allow students to transition more efficiently between activities.

With only two outlets available, a power cord would significantly enhance my ability to use additional electronic devices. This would support various learning tools like timers and iPads, ultimately fostering students' executive functioning skills.

Utilizing digital counters for the Whole Brain Teaching and Super Improver approach would aid in tracking student progress with behavior. This will ultimately lead to improved classroom management and reduced disruptions during lessons.

Adding twinkling fairy lights around my SmartBoard would create a calming atmosphere and enhance focus during lessons. This visual element can help set a positive tone for learning and minimize distractions.

With your support, these enhancements would not only optimize classroom management and organization, but also create a more engaging and supportive learning environment for my students.
