This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Renowned as the most challenging graduation path within our school, our program is characterized by a rigorous curriculum and extensive extra-curricular commitments. Despite the high attrition rate and daunting challenges, our students consistently show resilience, intellectual curiosity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

As a Title I Philadelphia public magnet school, our engineering program stands out for its commitment to academic excellence, especially in serving students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

Each of our engineering students chose to enter this highly competitive program at the conclusion of their ninth-grade year, a testament to their exceptional dedication and genuine interest, as demonstrated in our introductory engineering course.

To maintain this standard of excellence and provide equal opportunities for all our students, we rely on the generosity of our donors. The supplies and tools we seek through our DonorsChoose initiative are crucial. They ensure that every student, regardless of their personal circumstances, has access to the necessary resources like engineering notebooks, power tools, plywood, and much more to fully engage and succeed in our demanding program.
