Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My preschool students are children who are three to five years of age. My school is in sunny San Pedro, California. The children from San Pedro come to school each morning ready to learn and grow. There's never a dull moment in our class; my students are busy bees moving from one interest area to another. They're eager to learn, explore, and experiment with the instructional materials and centers I set up for them. We need materials for the children to develop awareness and a lifelong regard for our Planet Earth. With the instructional materials, my students will have a foundation in the areas of recycling, caring for our Earth, caring for animals, taking care of plants and trees, understanding the elements and being educated about our environment.

My Project

I need the instructional materials to adequately equip my students for the future they will inherit. I need the resources to build a solid foundation in the growth of environmental education, appreciation, love and respect for our Earth. The Growing Things Theme Box and Growing Things Theme Book Library will create awareness in my students' lives by giving them the opportunity to participate in the act of planting seeds, caring for plants, engaging with super informative books about caring for plants and our Earth, fostering a lifelong regard for our natural environment. With The Earth and Environment Theme Box and Earth and Environment Theme Book Library my students will have hands-on materials to engage in activities to educate them about the importance of recycling, trees and their importance in nature, comprehension and expansion of environmental science vocabulary. Shout out to Tom's of Maine who is helping develop environmentally conscious students!
