Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is full of thirty energetic Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students in a Charter School setting. Our school includes grades from TK to sixth grade. We meet together five days a week. All students are encouraged to make personal goals that they work on at school and at home with parents. They love working with technology in our classroom. We celebrate each student as they achieve their personal goals at their own individual pace. My students feel encouraged and supported in our community while contributing to their own learning pathway.

My Project

My new little kindergartners' hands can get so tired as they learn how to print our cut. So they need to strengthen their hand muscles. As we build their stamina to print a little more each day.

This project includes many activities that help my kiddo's strengthen their small motors skills, like threading beads, mastering how to use tweezers, exploring different types of stencils, or playing with play dough.

All these things are fun for my students and they don't even realize that they are helpful as well.

Many of the things requested in this project are things that can be "go to" activities in our room. The students will love to do them over and over through out their year in kindergarten.
