Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

More than half of our students are from low-income households. My kindergarteners from Miami, Florida, ask a ton of questions on a daily basis, which I absolutely love! Many of their questions are about how things work and what will happen next. This is amazing to see that they are curious about different things at such an early age. I'm one proud teacher!

My Project

These supplies will help my kindergarten students transition from thicker crayons to regular sized to help with better motor skills. The sharpener will be useful as it has all the sizes, we need to have our supplies ready each day. The mini erasers will be used as math counters for our addition and subtraction unit. The clear storage bins will be used to store the hands-on materials used daily. The large storage bins will help to store and organize the students backpacks and lunchboxes to create a more spacious environment. The portable whiteboard will help make learning accessible and visible to all my students by being able to move around the class with me.
