This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Moving to a new grade and a new classroom this school year can be daunting. As an educator, understanding the needs of my students is an essential first step when beginning an effective school year together. Therefore, when taking an inventory of my classroom this year, I had to really focus in on what resources my students were going to need in order to do their best work.

I would like to give my students access to the supplies, resources, and necessities that they need in order to have a successful school year.

For our classroom, seat sacks are imperative for students to have easy access to their supplies during lessons. Additionally, our district has access to new types of interactive resources that can meet students where they are at when it comes to speaking and listening. In order for this to be successful, students need access to GOOD headphones with a microphone that can help them use these resources to the fullest. Finally, our classroom needs a small desk in the front of the classroom that teachers can use to connect electronics to the SmartBoard as well. We are hoping to have access to these resources through the help of our community. Please consider donating to our classroom!
