For this project, I am requesting some materials for my brand new classroom, which is a grades 7 - 12 art room! I have accepted a new job in a different school district with different grade levels than what I have taught for the previous 8 years, so I am in need of a few things to help things start off right with my new students!
One thing that has helped me tremendously is Teachers Pay Teachers when I am in need of getting lesson plans.
While I have some lessons already in mind, a TPT gift card would be incredibly helpful on those days when a lesson just doesn't go as planned and I need something fun on-the-fly, to print substitute plans, or even if I just want to try something new with my students.
I have also requested a few other things that would supplement materials already in my classroom. While I have glaze, my students could also use syringe bottles for drawing tiny details on their ceramic pieces. I also would like to continue creating stuffed animals and making soap with my new Crafting class, so I have requested felt pieces, self-threading needles, a soap melter, and soap dye for my students to use. Lastly, I requested sketchbooks and permanent markers for my Advanced Art students so that they may have a sketchbook to draw in for warm-ups and during any down time.
I am so excited to get started at my new school, and can't wait to show you what my middle and high schoolers can do!
