Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Kindergarten English Language Learner classroom is a place where students are allowed to take chances and explore who they are while learning the English language. They get excited to learn English and take pride in their efforts to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

The Classroom Calendar will allow them to learn the days of the week and counting up to 31. The World Map will allow us to connect their personal country to our Reading program. They will practice letter sounds, blends, and digraphs through writing and matching puzzles. The Magnetic Letters will also assist with my students that need more tangible visuals.
