My Students

We are a class made up of 12 imaginative, creative, smart, loving children! Children who are innocent at heart, with unique personalities, and whose life's possibilities are insurmountable.

My school is located in District 23 in NYC, one of the smallest, yet poorest, crime-ridden neighborhoods in New York City.

A lot of my children live difficult home lives, and I choose to change their experiences within the school and classroom environment as much as I can. Although many of them are faced with problems that are unthinkable to others, they come into my classroom happy and eager to learn.

My Project

Students need a safe, clean space for learning. Some daily essentials like hand sanitizer, Antibacterial spray and cleaning wipes, were requested along with other school supplies on the first day of school, but unfortunately a lot of our families are financially impaired and could not fulfill the supply lists. Flu season is amongst us and we want to encourage attendance by making sure we do not spread any germs and help to prevent our scholars from becoming sickly which would make them miss school. Each day counts and we want to be sure that when the students show up to school, the space is clean, smells good, and is welcoming so that they can focus on their work and enjoy being there, nothing else
