My Project

The sketch pads, pencils, and supplies in my wagon will bring the illustrator's tools to their classroom. My students are tasked with becoming readers and writers and proficient in spoken and written English. Visuals enhance learning and I use drawings to support learning.

Student-created illustrations, diagrams, or graphics demonstrate their level of understanding and communicate to the audience.

My goal is for students to have opportunities to illustrate in connection to narrative writing or informational essays.

Ms. Werthwein's wagon of illustration will travel to classes, as I provide push-in instructional services. Students eagerly await to create and work at the illustration station. The illustration station will also be a place for conversations of learning.
