My Students

My class is composed of a very diverse group of juniors and seniors who enjoy a love of learning. They strive for the best and push themselves to achieve their goals. I am impressed by their determination and enthusiasm. Our goal is to work towards increasing the availability of Dual Enrollment, CLEP and AP classes so that they reflect the diversity of our school.

My Project

Dual Enrollment Biology is a challenging topic as it is, but with the added complication of virtual learning, it becomes even more difficult. There is a lot of chemistry, math, and understanding of visual images in Biology, which makes using a computer screen rather than a pen and paper or smartboard quite tedious.

A Microsoft Surface will allow me to share my screen with my students to easily demonstrate step-by-step concept problem-solving in Biology.

This will help in students' understanding of topics like membrane transport, cellular respiration and photosynthesis, genetics, and gene expression. This is a necessary tool for my visual learners. This technology will also allow me to record demonstrations and labs for students aspects of the DE Biology curriculum.
