Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are always an amazing group, no matter what their age or classification. Some have learning disabilities, some a form of ADD/ADHD, and some are on the autism spectrum, some are selective mutes. They all have big personalities when you get to know them. I make it my responsibility to get to know them.

The students that receive Resource Room services come in small groups, to my office/classroom.

Many are quiet, not wanting to answer questions or read aloud. Quickly they see that they are amongst other students/friends who also are behind in different subject areas, who might relate to their struggles on one level or another, who are nervous to reveal what they know or don't know.

Soon enough, those kids are raising their hands, attempting to answer hard questions, and begging to read aloud. They are taking chances, making mistakes in safety, with their fellow strugglers/friends.

My Project

My student numbers are increasing, but the size of my office/classroom is not! One way in which these Kore Wobble Chairs will help my students is by giving them more room at the table to sit comfortably. The ease with which they can adjust their seat to accommodate their needs, and the needs of the other students, in a tight space will free everybody up a bit in terms of space.

Additionally, and most importantly, these chairs allow for quiet movements that will cause less distraction for the children seated close to one another.

For children with ADD/ADHD, and those on the autism spectrum, these chairs have been shown to increase relaxation, which leads to a better ability to focus on learning.

These chairs also promote better posture more, and are antimicrobial, which any teacher will appreciate!! I would love to offer these chairs to my students
