My Project

I teach students with varied disabilities. They all have their own interests and are all on different reading levels. I have a classroom library with books for my students to read during downtime. I want to add to this with topics that I know they enjoy. I am currently taking a reading course and just completed a section on reading informational texts.

This struck me because my students love reading about the world around them!

With these books, I plan to add to my classroom library and also use Scholastic News to add to our lessons. The Scholastic News comes with magazines for each student to use along with an online portion as a model and additional activities. These books will help engage my students in reading on topics they enjoy!
