My Students

Our students are a diverse group, from various cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.

Our students have been through so much in the last few months, but despite these challenges, they show up in-person and remotely ready to learn each new day.

My Project

Our students love being read to.

They enjoy creating pictures in their minds, predicting story events and participating in book discussions. Due to COVID, they are not allowed to share or use previously owned books and we don’t want to add any financial burden on parents. We would love to provide each student a book of their own that we can read together both on our in-person days and remote days. A read-aloud is a nice way to “take a break” while still learning!
