Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every morning I read a picture book to my students. My students thrive on our daily read aloud routine--it helps us build our literacy skills, social-emotional skills, and gives us strong, collective experiences. These picture books will give my students an outlet for their imaginations, feelings and satisfy our academic and social-emotional needs

We need more funny books (with a moral) and my students need comfortable rocker chairs to enjoy our reading time.

These books are going to teach us about each other, while having a lot of laughs. I've asked for The Bad Seed and The Good Egg and a funny book about the Gingerbread Man. I've also asked for comfortable, rocker chairs so that my students can be learning at our classroom rug for a sustained amount of time. These chairs really will help.

These are books that we need in our classroom. My students will be inspired, engaged, and positively impacted. These books will help us build our classroom community.
