My Students

My students have come from many different parts of the world, including Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Nepal, Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia and the United States. They come with tenacity, creativity and a wide variety of experiences and gifts. At our school, 98% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and 96% of the students are students of color. The majority of my students are learning English as a second or third language. They are students with the capacity to achieve greatness.

My Project

We love books in our classroom! Books transport us to new worlds and give us new dreams to chase. "A book is a dream you hold in your hand," Neil Gaiman. My students are absolutely in love with books, and we need to keep building our classroom library. These 25 books will be a perfect addition.

My students love getting lost in a book. My students need a vibrant, modern and engaging classroom library. We are on our way to becoming great readers and your support is crucial to that goal. Thank you for considering our project!
