My Project

I intend to have my students research how to incubate duck eggs and take care of ducklings. We will create a habitat suitable to raise them in our school yard. Incubating duck eggs will allow them to become engaged in Science and English Language Arts writing.

Students will work in small groups to manage different aspects of the project, such as research, egg incubation, and presentations.

They will leverage each other’s strengths and skills, promoting teamwork and collective problem-solving as they navigate the challenges of the project together.

Our students at our middle school are inquisitive, love hands-on learning and enthusiastically seek out engaging activities that grow their knowledge and experiences.

This project will integrate science (biological processes and ecosystems), mathematics (calculating temperature and humidity), and language arts (research writing and presentations). Students will see how these disciplines interconnect and apply to real-world situations.
