Let's Pop It Into Multiplication

Help me give my students a hands-on, interactive approach to learning multiplication facts.

My Project

My students would benefit from a 12 by 12 multiplication pop-it. These Pop Its will be used during small group instruction. The phonics board will be used for students who need remediation in reading. When my students enter the fourth grade, they should have mastered their multiplication facts in grade 3. These Pop-Its are a fun and interactive way to teach multiplication. Students will be able to visually learn their multiplication facts using a model along with fun multiplication games. This manipulative will help all struggling students who have special needs to succeed. These Pop-Its add a fun spin to make learning the multiplication facts fun. Students will learn how to make equal groups, and they will use different strategies to learn how to skip count to learn their basic multiplication facts. My hope is for these Pop-Its to help all students to memorize their multiplication facts early on in the year so they can maximize learning as they learn double digit by double digit multiplication in grade 4. Students are always fidgeting and playing with Pop-Its for social emotional learning too. What a better way to engage them in a fun and exciting way. Let’s fund this Pop It Into Multiplication project and phonics manipulatives today.
