This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Movement and breaks are important! In our middle school students only get 1 break a day where they can choose between different activities such as basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, tag, jump rope, or board games. That break is so important to their success at school the rest of the day. Students who are able to move around and expell some of that energy are more successful in class afterwards.
Help me give my students sports equipment to keep them moving and active during their instructional break!
Soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, volleyballs, and kickballs will allow for group games which besides keeping students active helps them work on communication and teamwork. Frisbees and jump ropes are for those students who want to move but maybe not in a game setting. The bags and shelf on wheels will allow for storage and easy access for students.
