Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to do physical education. They enjoy running, playing with balls, hula hoops, flying disks, etc. The problem is that we do not have enough durable soccer balls at my school. Students need to practice kicking balls that are designed for kicking.

I want my students to practice, learn, and recognize the right moment to start kicking a slowly rolling soccer ball.

I envision my students enjoying having enough soccer balls so that they can all run drills together instead of waiting for a ball and not being engaged. We, as teachers get better results when students work in partners and to do this we need enough equipment. Students in my community often struggle to be healthy due to the lack of resources and the community not being the safest. I want to make sure they are healthy and learn these important skills during PE at school.
