My Project

Imagine a classroom where students don’t just learn about science and sustainability—they experience it firsthand. My goal is to create a classroom garden program that will not only teach students the fundamentals of plant biology, environmental science, and nutrition but also introduce them to the innovative world of hydroponics. By providing hands-on learning opportunities, I hope to foster curiosity, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for sustainability.

My goals for this project are:

1. Teach students STEM principles in an engaging way

2. Promote healthy eating habits and food sustainability awareness

3. Enhance problem-solving, teamwork, and responsibility skills

4. Provide exposure to urban agriculture and hydroponic technology, opening doors to future career opportunities

5. Create a calming and therapeutic environment for students to engage with nature, reducing stress and anxiety.

What makes my students special:

Many of my students live in urban areas with limited access to green spaces. This initiative will not only bring nature into our classroom but also empower students with practical skills in growing their own food sustainably. With your generous support, we can cultivate a love for science, sustainability, and healthy living—one plant at a time!
