My Students

My second grade students are a diverse group of students from many different cultural backgrounds. They are an upbeat and energetic group of learners. They are hard workers who always put forth their best effort.

Together, they make up a pretty magical group of committed students who will be our future problem-solvers and leaders!

My Project

Students will be able to have their own set of colored pencils for the whole year rather than share! Students will also be able to make a "real" artwork piece on canvas and really get their creative juices flowing for this big project! The paint and paintbrushes will hopefully last beyond one school year, but who knows? The kids might really get inspired this year through your donation and want to paint daily and use all the paint! Art goes beyond just paint and crayons, and I want to introduce the kids to wire sculpture!

Creating art will improve my students' motor skills, calm their minds, and promote creativity!
