My Project

Nowadays in classrooms, desks are often hard to get at the right height for every student, and as they continue to grow throughout the school year it can be difficult to arrange a time with custodial staff to change the heights of the desks. These desks also break because of the weight in them or students sitting on them, therefore the height of the desk in those circumstances is unable to be changed due to a broken feature of the desk. So, my solution is to place tables in my classroom to get rid of the burdens of desks.

Having tables has solved many problems for my classroom, but it makes organizing their materials more difficult.

The students can't keep their materials on the table as I notice it bothers some of them, and it limits space for them to write on the table. So, placing a shelf at every table would help them place their books for library, math, ELA, and science where it is easily accessible and out of the way. It also teaches my students organization. Another reason these shelves would benefit my class is that I want them to have a quick and efficient way to clear the table for experiments. These shelves would also create job opportunities in the classroom for students to check for materials.
