Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher for grades K to 3rd. I currently have 10 awesome students joining me in distance learning. My students definitely miss their usual routine of waking up in the morning and going to school to begin their everyday learning.

My students are English Learners and also have a disability.

It is a MUST that accommodations are provided in order to meet their academic and language needs such as visuals, prompts, and realia. My students need interactive and tangible objects to enhance their learning.

Despite the circumstances, my students and I were able to complete our first week of virtual learning! My students arrived to our Zoom sessions ready to greet everyone and eager to learn. They have even mastered the Zoom functions! My students want to learn and show it by attending class and participating throughout the lessons. My students demonstrate persistence with all the constant changes that entails distance learning. Also, let us not forget about the parents and guardians! My students' parents are also ready to support their children. They are taking time to learn technology in order for my student's to log in to class and begin their day of learning.

My Project

These materials will make an immense impact in my student's distance learning. With a TeachersPayTeachers gift card, I will able to purchase resources that are engaging for my students. Many resources found in teachers pay teachers will allow me to provide differentiated instruction and reinforce my students' learning in grades Kindergarten to 3rd. I will be able to provide interactive teaching strategies and visuals for my students. I will be able to use google slides and seesaw activities to enhance my student's learning from home. These activities will include Science, Social Studies, Health, Art, Physical Education, English Language Development, Mathematics, English (reading and writing), Social Emotional, and IEP goals.

I will be able to support their academic, language, and IEP goals.

What a better way than to do it by buying resources created for teachers by teachers!
