This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come to fitness/yoga club once in 2 weeks for 30 minutes as a reward for completing their academic goals. This is a special time when students can learn/practice mindfulness and fitness skills. The students who attend are on task and ready. They show our school's 3 R's: respect, responsibility and readiness. I want to reward students with snacks at the end of their club's athletic activity. Giving them a snack at the end is a rewarding treat. We also want to try some activities with light weights.

Help me motivate my students to continue performing academically and also stay healthy doing yoga/fitness club.
