Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at my school love making their own books! They have learned how to write outlines, character development, book illustrating and publishing. I then publish their books in the school library so their friends can check out their books!

We need more supplies to keep creating and supporting our student authors.

Book covers, book binding, paper, sewing materials for the spines, a typewriter and book bins are all supplies that the students use as they work in our "publishing" house (aka the library!). I think the students are going to especially enjoy using a typewriter to create their books, as they probably have never used one before.

My library students feel so much pride and joy as they work on their books and I want to continue to support their creativity. We have gone through all of our current supplies and need a refresh to our book making supplies. Thank you for supporting our Title I school and wonderful students.
