My Project

I am a teacher in a Head Start classroom. The majority of the children in our room are from low-income families. For most of my students, my classroom is their first experience in a school setting. The materials I picked out will help them continue recognizing their letters and develop fine-motor skills.

Learning to hold a pencil and use fine motor skills are essential to a successful school experience.

Whether in preschool or in everyday life as adults, we use our fine motor skills, writing skills, and letter recognition for many things, like holding a pencil, typing a text message, or opening a bottle.

The materials I chose, such as the wooden ABC maze board, puzzles, and the learn-to-print center, will allow my students to develop fine motor skills, writing, and letter recognition for life.
