Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my co-teacher and I are looping with our kindergarten kids from last year. We are teaching 1st grade again! We are moving classrooms and reorganizing. We want to make sure our classroom is ready for the school year.

Our students deserve the best and since they are having us as teachers again, they deserve a warm and welcoming classroom.

We need bulletin board materials and posters, as well as tape and a stapler. The Rolling Utility Cart will be used to organize supplies so students can easily access them.

We need a magnetic easel and classroom supplies to help set up our room. We are organizing and revamping up our classroom for the best 1st graders. The supplies used will be used to set up the classroom to help create a welcoming environment for the students. We will be adding a calming corner this year and plan to use the teepee and calming posters in that area.

Our students deserve the best materials and supplies to lead a successful class. Majority of our students are in temporary housing. We want to be able to create a fun and welcoming environment for them. This is their safe place.
