My Students

I work with elementary school students.

Most of them need some form of remediation or intervention in order for them to be at grade level. My school services about 360 students in preschool through 6th grade. About 78% participate in the free or reduced cost lunch program and most lack any type of exposure to technology outside of school.

My Project

I would like a Sony Tablet to be able to work with and service our struggling students. Having a tablet allows for one on one or small group intervention that is fun and engaging. Children get tired of all the "drill and kill" methods and flash cards are just plain boring.

By providing me with a Tablet my students will be able to benefit not only from engaging games and programs, but they will also get the exposure to technology that they desperately need.
