This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, and speech and nonverbal communication. Sensory toys, bubblers, and letter-practicing boards are not for play. They help children with autism relax, focus and calm down to a scenario or activity. It helps them grasp objects with decreased dear and discomfort, ultimately helping them play naturally. Additionally, sensory toys help develop social learning skills like negotiating, planning, and sharing—these types play a significant role in developing and enhancing memory. Sensory play is great for calming an anxious or frustrated child. K-5 schoolers learn through toughing and having building blocks and colorful activates. Books will help develop social learning skills.
