My Project

I am an occupational therapist and one of the most important skills that I work with my students on is handwriting! It is important for students to learn how to write neatly so that they can be creative writers who can express themselves clearly. Research has shown that the earlier students are taught handwriting, the more likely they are to be able to write with speed and ease and to succeed in school.

Handwriting Without Tears" is a handwriting program that teaches handwriting in a simple and enjoyable way for students.

I have used "Handwriting Without Tears" workbooks many times throughout my career with great success. I want to give my students this opportunity, and therefore I am requesting "Handwriting Without Tears" workbooks. When a student has their own workbook to complete their work in, it gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment and motivates them to do the best that they can do! I am excited to provide my students with this opportunity, by giving them their own handwriting books to use! I am also requesting some squishing fidgets to use as incentives for my students.
