Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to provide my students with materials that will help them discover the world around them and how things work. I have requested insect & plant growing kits, as well as goggles, dinosaur bones & xrays and books for our science area

By introducing science in preschool, I want to foster a love of learning, and discovery that will not only teach my students how and why things work, but also help them to question why things happen.

I have requested ladybug and butterfly kits so we can watch the lifecycle of these insects, and learn why they are so valuable to our gardens. I have also asked for a flower growing class kit so that we can grow plants from seeds. By watching and recording how much water, and sun flowers need to grow, and how they tie in with our insect kits above.

I have asked for dinosaur x rays, and a magnet set of the human body depicting bones and muscles, and a set of plastic bones from measuring and discovery.

My goal is to help my preschoolers learn about the environment around them and how we can take care of it for future generations.
