Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom all of my students are active learners. Being an active learner helps them retain and learn more. Students take control of what they are learning by sharing and teaching their classmates.

I am requesting chart supplies so students can show what they are learning on the walls of our classroom.

Students are active participants in making charts they can understand. Students need large chart paper to be able to see charts from around the room. We like to hang charts using hangers or magnets so they can be easily moved and revised if necessary. Small wire racks can be used for smaller table charts so students can see and work together.

Velcro dots, dry erase markers, tape and magnetic squares will help keep learning fun as students can interact with the charts and practice what they are learning. While it is engaging to print pictures to include on charts, it is also valuable to have children create their own meaningful images using the books and paper.

Learning really shows when students take control and take pride in what they are learning. This project will provide supplies that we can use to display student work and reference charts for students to use as they are working. My students will be able to create their own anchor charts to hang in our classroom.

These materials will help set them up for success this year!
