My Students

Do you remember the first time you touched snow, heard the sea or smelled cinnamon? Learning through our 5 senses is an extraordinary feeling when you are a small child.

My students are bright young kids who enjoy learning and exploring.

Most of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced lunch and come from backgrounds where exploration and exposing them to knew and fun activities is not a top priority. Our students have a thirst for knowledge and we try our hardest to satisfy that thirst.

My Project

I am planning a 6 to 8 week project based learning 5 Senses project. My students will be able to get an in depth, hands-on, thematic unit where most subject areas will be incorporated. They will be able to see and track the growth of ladybugs and butterflies. They will make snow and explore with it. They will smell scents and record their findings.

They will get to learn about the 5 senses and other subjects in a way that wouldn't be possible without all this supplemental material.
