My Students

We are a small suburban public school in the largest school district in the nation. My second graders are curious, inquisitive and full of energy! They come to school ready to learn each day. They are a fantastic group of learners.

Community support plays a vital part in enriching our educational program in the classroom.

I am amazed by my students' passion, curiosity, willingness to learn, thirst for knowledge, and perseverance. I want to encourage my students to be well educated, and to be the best people they can be for the world around us. Let's give them the tools to be lifelong learners!

My Project

Like many of you, I'm an eco-conscious organization freak who has been reusing the same organizers year after year. I use the paper sorter on a daily basis to quickly store and grab my students' morning spirals and enrichment activities. And I use the 24 compartment organizer as mailboxes to place my students' homework and daily communications. Now it has finally come the time when I need to replace both these items. They have officially become worn, frayed, and rickety, and my students deserve better! Our new tabletop paper sorter and wood 24 compartment organizer will last us for years to come.

Keeping a neat, organized classroom helps my students to clear their minds, save time, and allows us flexibility.

We can balance tasks more efficiently and effectively when we're organized, thus allowing us to channel our energies towards the higher purposes of learning and creativity. An organized environment also reduces stress, which is so important for one's mental health and overall well-being.

Help us tidy up our classroom and keep organized! Organization sets a good example for the students and is contagious, like a warm smile!
