Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach third grade in a Title I school. My students are at or below poverty level living in a suburb of Los Angeles, California. All of my students qualify for a free breakfast and lunch. My class consists of 10 amazing girls and 12 "ready to go" boys. They enjoy being challenged academically and physically every day. They are in the Limited English Proficiency program levels 1 and 2. My students are creative, inquisitive, hard working, and eager to learn about the world around them, as well as themselves. In our online classes my students work in a whole group during synchronous time and independently during asynchronous times.

They encourage each other to grow and explore their wonderful world of learning.

My Project

I am requesting cleaning supplies because they will make a difference in our classroom daily.

We must stay safe from germs.

Most students need more than one protective mask every day. The kids will keep the hand sanitizers on their desk ready to use. The Lysol disinfecting wipes will keep tables and surfaces free of germs while learning. The disinfect spray will keep the air germ free. I will instruct my students to wash hands frequently, so Bounty Quick-Size Paper Towels will come in handy. My students and I will be ready to learn without worrying about germs lurking around.
