My Students

Our students read a lot and need more to choose from in our school library. The old books were weeded from our library collection this past summer and we are trying to strengthen our collection with new titles. Look at our photo and you will see how bare our shelves are! Let's fill them up!

Our school is a high achieving school because education is valued and supported, and reading is a really important priority to our students and parents.

You can see our students with books in their hands all over our school. They love to read and share their book choices with each other. How good is that!

My Project

We are trying to revitalize our school library collection to contain the latest fiction and nonfiction titles to keep our students' interest in a society fraught with video distractions. Elementary school age is the critical age for developing good readers. A good book can travel with you most anywhere, to educate and entertain.

By encouraging reading for fun, we are developing a healthy lifelong past time. Good fiction and nonfiction develops the imagination and knowledge base of our children.
