My Students

My students are hungry for learning in the digital age. They love the learning they experience on the Kindles Donor's Choose provided them. Headphones would be a relief and enhance the learning for all. They would "keep the fire burning".

My students live in one of the most economically strapped areas of my District.

Few have the resources to access digital learning at home. My students also have Special Needs which requires individualized learning experiences and a very structured and tailored environment which keeps them focused on the task at hand. Digital learning is of high interest to them and can be tailored to their needs.

My Project

My students need headphones. My students love the digital learning they started with the Kindles. But it is hard on all of us to to concentrate and follow through with online lessons when we have 10 Kindles going at once. The headphones would make digital learning more comfortable for everyone. Students would really be able to concentrate on activities and answer questions better when they use the headphones. Their attention spans would be longer and they could get through lessons more easily when they can't hear what their neighbor is working on. With that, they will continue to make gains in Language arts and Math.

My students need high interest materials and tools that are similar to what all children use to motivate them to lean.

They need the headphones for comfort and to encourage the learning they are already doing so they may get closer to grade level in style.
