Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a general education teacher of 15 wonderfully awesome three year old students. I love the fact that this is their first school experience and that I am a part of that.

Teaching my students is like taking a clean slate and filling it with knowledge.

I am amazed at how quickly the students grasp what they have been taught. They are like sponges absorbing knowledge, and once they absorb it, they eagerly put their newly acquired knowledge to work.

When I observe the students, I find their interactions and the relationships that they build with each other absolutely amazing. Their classroom world is a world that I hope that we all can experience one day. Their closeness to each other, their concern for each other, and their love for each other are signs that their best is yet to come.

My Project

My students did not have the opportunity to be in the classroom for the majority of the year because of the pandemic. I prepared them as best as I could virtually, but I need the learning to continue this summer when school is out.

The workbooks will help my students continue to build their math, literacy, and cognitive skills.

These workbooks will challenge my students while they continue learning this summer. These workbooks will help to prepare my students for kindergarten. These workbooks will provide games and activities that my students can enjoy with their families as they have fun learning.

I know that my students will appreciate a nice snack after they have completed their daily lessons. The snacks that you will help provide for them will definitely hit the spot!
