My Students

My students love to read this year! They also enjoy writing. I teach Spanish Immersion, which means that they learn Language arts, Math and Social studies in Spanish. They are students coming from everywhere in the city of Philadelphia. They come from different backgrounds making our class a great place to learn not only about "school" but also about others. We enjoy having fun projects and activities in where they can show their creativity.

The best part is, they are preparing themselves to live in a world in where all of us are part of a whole: They are Global Citizens.

My Project

These materials will be useful to my classroom because it will provide us with a more flexible way of sharing ideas and discussions. A circle table is inviting because the students will be able to see and hear each other much easier. The cushions can be moved around the classroom and used for other opportunities like peer tutoring, social emotional breaks, as well as an additional seating option during whole group instruction.

These materials will allow me to provide my students with mini lessons, book clubs, guided reading and small instruction away from their regular seats.

The students will be able to use it also for independent reading or writing. The flexible seating options are something my students will thoroughly enjoy.
