What I love most about my students is the complete innocence, lack of filter and spontaneity which they present to me everyday I walk into the science lab. I love that they love to learn anything new and exciting, especially cool science stuff!
The donation of Legos will provide ample opportunity for using the engineering design process in a plethora of ways, namely problem solving Picture eight tables of students working together with a Legos kit between them.
Picture their eyes lighting up and smiles abounding when they see the spectators reveling on what was surely an endeavor. See the collaboration of ideas through each other’s lenses. See my love of working in the science lab and I know Legos aren’t going to be the end-all but they will be a part of the a-ha and explore-all!
I plan on using the Legos for all grade levels, from Transitional kindergarten-6th grade, implementing NGSS standards accordingly.
