My Project

In our classroom, math is more than just numbers on a page; it’s a hands-on journey of discovery. My students are curious, energetic learners who thrive when they can engage in interactive and meaningful activities.

To bring this project to life, I’m requesting materials that will create a dynamic and interactive learning experience, including Sliding Number Lines which will help students visualize subtraction as movement along a continuum, making abstract concepts more concrete and accessible.

Colorful manipulatives such as counting bears will provide a tactile way for students to explore subtraction by grouping and removing items, reinforcing their understanding through hands-on practice. Then, Math Fluency Worksheets will offer structured practice opportunities to strengthen subtraction skills and improve speed and accuracy in problem-solving.

My students are a diverse group of young learners from a variety of backgrounds. They bring unique perspectives and creativity to the classroom, making each day vibrant and inspiring. Many of my students face challenges outside the classroom, but their determination to learn and grow is unwavering. They light up when they’re able to actively participate and connect concepts to the world around them.

The goal of this project is to help students master subtraction engagingly and interactively. This project aims to build foundational math skills, foster a love for math, develop problem-solving skills, and Boost confidence and participation.
