Let's Go Out With a Book Bang!

Help me give my students end of the year gifts that will continue their love for school and learning.

My Project

As the 2024-2025 school year comes to a close we are preparing to still have a love for learning and reading throughout the summer. The "summer slide" which is a loss for skills learned during the academic year is lost over the summer.

My fabulous 4th graders have come so far this year and I want the love for reading to continue as they move into the summer months and 5th grade.

Many of my students truly love the "I Survived" books this year and have been asking for copies to take home. They are also in love with the Dog Man, Flat Stanley, The Magic Tree House book series, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Kids do better and gain more knowledge when they are able to read books they like and are interested in.

I plan to use the clear bags and personalize them with each student's name and fill each bag with a book of each student's choice, bubbles, sunglasses, and a personalized water bottle, and make them a personalized t-shirt that represents 4th grade ending.

This bag will be filled with love and tokens as a gift from me to my students. Our school will be closing in May, and I want them to have a keepsake that they will enjoy and that will also be beneficial for their learning.
