My Students

My students are smart, curious, creative, funny, hardworking, and friendly towards one another. My personal class consists of 20 students that represent families all over the world, as well as a variety of learning levels. My school has seventeen first-grade classrooms and my K-2 school consists of over 1,000 students of diverse backgrounds. This can make teaching challenging because of the diverse learning abilities, but my students are always eager to learn. My students continually face obstacles head-on and continually strive to do better. Their drive and passion for learning are amazing!

My Project

Every day my students come to school eager to learn new things. I want to enhance their learning with a room transformation. Giving my students a glow day as a class incentive will not only allow students to learn about light and the different materials it can pass through, but will also inspire their curiosity to grasp new concepts. I have included various materials that will glow in the dark under a black light.

Students will get to dress up in glow gear and work with special materials that glow in the dark for writing and science activities.

These activities will boost their thought processes and ideas. Students will need a place to store these items so we can use them again throughout the year, so I included storage to keep students' materials separated.
