Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each kindergartener in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment they learn best in varies greatly. We incorporate various learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of excited and ready to learn students each year!

With that being said, this year my group of students are curious and oh-so-creative.

They ask a ton of questions on a daily basis, which I absolutely love! Many of their questions are about animals and their habitats, and they are also curious about foods and plants and how they grow. This is amazing to see that they are curious about life and life cycles at such an early age. I'm one proud teacher!

My Project

These supplies will help my kindergarten students transition from these thicker crayons and pencils, which they can grip better for better motor skills to regular sized one that they will transition to after winter break to get ready for first grade. The sharpener will be so useful as it has all the sizes we will need to have our supplies ready for each day! Who doesn't like crafts? These supplies, such as the fasteners and colored paper will be perfect for that! The trash can with the swinging top will help maintain the class nice and clean and organized for the students. We have 2 already in the class and this one will make all the corners of the class complete so it’s accessible to all students. The mini erasers and dry erase pockets will be used as math counters and for worksheets for our addition and subtraction number sentences and will help me incorporate hands on activities to make learning fun!!

The portable white board will help make learning accessible and visible to ALL my students by being able to move it around the class with me as I monitor their work.

This will be so helpful!
