Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Learning should be fun! My students use as many senses as possible to learn and understand the material being taught.

My 7th graders range from newcomers to children who have been in the country a maximum of three years.

They live in a high poverty, high crime area. Budget cuts have left our classroom with great need. Many items necessary to facilitate instruction to a variety of learning styles are out of our reach.

My Project

We will use the erasable color pencils to edit writing and identify different algebraic terms. We will use the crayons and scissors will allow us to play fun activities in science and social studies. My students will use the math games included in this project to build skills they lack such as multiplying, dividing, and counting money.

The gap between where most of my students are academically and where they need to be is immense.

My students need to make gains of 3 and 4 grade levels if they want to catch up to their mainstream counterparts. Your donation will help me keep them motivated and willing to push forward.
