My Students

Do you like to read?

Have you ever found a book that you just absolutely love? Did a book ever inspire you to do something great? Maybe you read a book that you just couldn't put down or couldn't wait to turn the page to see what happens next! If you could relate to one of these, then you are just like my students! These avid readers are in second grade and have a huge appetite for reading! Our school values literacy and promote the importance of reading throughout every grade. My ravenous readers are ready to devour new books!

My Project

Our next unit of study will consist of students setting reading goals and working in book clubs with students who have similar goals. In these book clubs, students will be focusing on specific book series and use strategies to help them achieve their goals.

With new books, my students can immerse themselves into different worlds through the power of reading.

Currently, our classroom library offers limited selections and the number of books added to our book hospital are growing! These books will not only be crucial instruments for launching our Reading Workshop, but also continue feeding my readers' love for reading! Won't you help my readers strive to become the best?
